The official opening of the final two classrooms at Losingira Primary School took place on 29 August. Much of the funding was provided by Chandler’s Ridge Academy, Middlesbrough, and we are indebted to them for their support over the years.

In the days leading up to the event, noticeboards and posters were put up by some of the adults on the Kupenda Africa Trip.

The toilet pit that had become a danger to the pupils was eventually covered over, thanks to a donation by Austin and Sarah Vites, from the U.S.A.

A selection of text books was donated to the school by Bev & Graeme Fallowfield from Hartlepool College of Education.
