Felister Elias

Felister attended Kipok Girls’ Secondary School from 2021 to 2024, and in May 2025 she was selected to study A’ Levels in History, Geography and English at Nangwa High School, Babati, but was unable to pay the necessary fees, equipment, food and accommodation costs.

Her home is in Morombo, near Arusha. She has one sister who lives at home with Felister and their mother. Her mother has no job, but gets money by selling things at the market.

In July 2023 Felister met a pupil from Yarm School, England, (Pippa Ferguson), who was visiting Kipok School as part of a school trip. A friendship was established, and Pippa made a commitment to sponsor Felister if she was selected to progress to further education – Felister was therefore able to start her A’ Level studies in July 2025.
