Our best set of A’ Level results have resulted in seven students likely to be selected for a university degree course – amazing! 

The seven students are currently going through the process of applying for a university place, and also for a government loan, and we will find out some time in August if they have been successful. If they are successful, we would like to support all of them so that they can take up this amazing opportunity of a university place, but our policy is that this is dependent on four factors:

• They will need to be awarded a government loan (this covers a small amount of the necessary costs).
• They will need to find some funding from their local community.
• We have to find sponsor(s) to pay for the bulk of the costs.
• The degree subject is one that is highly likely to lead into employment at the end of the three years.

 We now need to go through the process of finding a sponsor for all seven students, and because the cost will be £640 a year, (double the cost of A’ Level sponsorship), for many of our current university students we have used two sponsors sharing the costs.
