On 4 April Will Ferguson is running the 13 miles from Stockton Town Hall to Yarm Town Hall, via the Tees Barrage, Bowsfield Nature Reserve and Preston Park, crossing the River Tees four times en route – and all to raise much needed funds for the new Meserani Secondary School Building Project. Will’s message is shown below, and if you wish to sponsor him, please follow this link:
My name is Will, I’m 14 years old and I’m hoping to run a half marathon (13 miles) on Easter Sunday. I will start at Stockton Town Hall and finish at Yarm Town Hall, running along the river Tees and taking in the Tees Barrage and Preston Park en route. I’m hoping to raise as much money as possible for the Meserani Project.
We take it for granted that we all go to school and get a good education but the children in Tanzania are not all so lucky. The Meserani Project is a charity which does great work in sponsoring children to go to school and they are also currently funding a new school build so that the children have a school in their town. I feel so lucky to go to a great school and I’d like to try and help the children in the Meserani district to have a great school to go to too!
