The first ten laptops
Followers of The Meserani Project will be aware that a group from Virgin Media spent a week at Meserani in June last year, and engaged in a variety of most worthwhile challenges in support of The Meserani Project. Before they returned home, they donated twenty refurbished laptops for the project, and ten of these were immediately put to good use by the Njiro Base of Arusha Vocational Training Centre, allowing them to put on a basic computing course.
On 28 August 2016 fourteen computer trainees started their ICT course, thanks to the laptops from Virgin Media.

In January this year, our three sponsored university students discovered that they needed laptops for their university courses, so we were able to provide each of them with one of the Virgin Media laptops. The seven remaining laptops are currently ‘on hold’ for any future university students, (we currently have seven students in their final year of A’ Level studies).

The Meserani Project is most grateful to Virgin Media for providing the twenty laptops, they have certainly been put to good use and are currently transforming the lives of young people in Tanzania.
