Christmas Day at the Meserani Clinic started with a party for the staff, and the patients and their families. At the start of the day there were two snake-bite victims, a burns victim and a buffalo attack victim. Two more snake-bite victims arrived during the day – one turned out to be non-venomous, and the other one needed anti-venom treatment and a drip.
