A third day of meetings here at Meserani today. Most of our time was spent at Arusha Vocational Training Centre. We met with the Principal, and two of his senior staff to discuss the arrangements for the visit of the group from Virgin Media next week. Some of our sponsored students from the Centre were include in the meeting. We then drove to the other side of Arusha to see their annexe where they teach driving, and are hoping to set up a computer training block.
Afterwards, Diane was able to hand over letters to the students from their sponsors.

Back at Meserani we bumped into Joyce Steven – one of our sponsored students who is waiting to apply to Arusha Vocational Training Centre (Joyce has just completed her final year at secondary school). We were able to hand over a letter from her sponsors, the Ferguson family.
Finally today we met with Nai Laizer, the manager at the Meserani Adult Education Centre. We were able to tell her that the Virgin Media group were bringing the Centre an overhead projector next week – which caused great excitement amongst the staff at the Centre. Nai took us to see a new primary school that had just opened at Meserani, but was in need of considerable development.
