2015 Trip – 22 July

Yesterday, we went to Moita Secondary School which is the school where Frederick goes. I got to met him which was amazing and he’s position 11 in his class which is very good considering the amount of people in his year group. I got a couple of pictures with him with the blanket on which was so nice and he said that he really liked it and appreciated it so that was really nice. We played a voleybal match against some of the boys from the school and we got hammered, there’s no other way to put it really because they beat us by quite a lot. And then today, we went to Einoti school and half way through the volleyball game the ball popped but we played on by pumping it up every few points. However, we lost, again! It was a more gracious defeat as it was 27-29 to them so we had clearly improved since our last game. And tonight we’re staying at the boma which I’m really looking forward to and I really want to watch the goat get killed etc to see how they do it and what they do.

So far I have found the trip so amazing and inspirational. I have loved spending time with my friends so far and getting to know others that I didn’t know before. Also meeting the children from the schools as been spectacular and has really made me want to sponsor a child so I can actually do something that isn’t for myself it’s to make someone else’s life better. The animals that I have seen are truly unbelievable for example seeing a family of lions. I miss and love everyone at home though and I can’t wait to see you all when I get back and tell you all about my experiences and the trip. I really can’t thank my mam and dad enough for making this trip possible for me. Bye anyways J

The trip so far has been a great experience and one that I am glad to have been a part of. The people have been absolutely amazing and I didn’t think I would enjoy it this much. I have missed you all so much and I can’t wait to be back and see you all. I still have many amazing things still left to do and I am looking forward to them so much. This experience has been one in a million and I can’t wait to tell you all about it when I get back. The fact that I am able to be out here and making a difference to people’s lives, how many people can say they have the opportunity to do this. I’d like to thank everyone for making this trip possible. I hope that you are all well and having a great time at home. I can’t wait to be back. I love and miss you all!!

Loving the trip and all the experiences that has come with it. A once and a life time experience making peoples life’s better. Thanks truly for this experience and can’t wait to tell you all about it in person. To all the people who have sponsored me whether it be with money contributions or equipment it is making a huge difference to the children out here. Hope the days are going well see you all in about a week.

The trip is nearly 2 weeks in already, not long left now till I get home and back into reality. I can’t wait to see everyone! I miss you all loads and can’t wait t get the chance to tell you everything because I really have had the best time ever and there’s still so much to do before we go home. We’re leaving the snake park soon to go to other parts of this amazing country but it will be quite sad because we all love this place so much! The bar especially is brilliant, I’ve never seen anything like it and there definitely has to be one like this at home. Bye for now, again I can’t wait to see you all! I love you Katie, I love you Mam and ben and adam urmmmm…. ;).

Boma night was well an experience which will always be remembered. Goat isn’t my cup of tea far to chewy which was ironic as we named him chewy before his death. Sports day today was fun; kids loved it throughout and were so enthuastic. Not long left on the trip now but am going too enjoy every moment. Missing home x

Today was fantastic. We started the day by going to eionoti school. As we have at every other school we were presented with their school song and then split up into sponsored groups, we then got to know our pupil, she was a really lovely girl who hopes to be a nurse in the future. We finished our time at the school with a big game of volleyball but sadly the volley ball got a puncture so we couldn’t play for as long as we had planned, and… we still lost. We then spent the night in the Bomas which was an unforgettable experience, killing the goat was interesting but it really upset me to see it and I couldn’t watch the rest of the kill, no need tomorrow as I am fine now , it really was an unforgettable experience even with how emotional it was im glad that I experienced it. Looking forward to tonight’s sleep it will be amazing. Hope everyone is okay. I love and miss you all. X

So far the trip has been amazing. It is amazing to experience how other cultures live. It has changed my attitude to life and really hope that it has made me a better person. It has also taught me how to live with different types of people for a long period of time.

Well I survived the boma night, didn’t get any sleep at all though! We were in the same boma as me and Stephanie were last time but this time we slept on the floor so it wasn’t comfortable, I held on to Felicity all night we were both terrified because we kept hearing noises coming from a part of the boma. Today we held a sports day for the local primary schools, it ran very smoothly. I was in charge of organising the desk, Me and Matty Naylor were giving out third place. We took lots of photos too, as you will see when I get home most of my camera roll is full of Matty hahahah! Can’t wait to get home and have a parmo 😉 ahaha. Hope everything is okay back home. Missing you. Love you xxxxxx
