Elias Labarani

Elias attended Lesiraa Primary School.

In August 2016 (his final year) he was placed first in his school examinations. His father has two wives, and ten children in total. His favourite subjects are Mathematics, Science and English. He enjoys football, and supports Chelsea. He would like to be a doctor (heart surgeon) one day.

Elias started his secondary education at Moita Boys’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2017. He was sponsored by Geoff and Robina Starling.

Elias was selected to study A’ Levels in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, at Lulumba School, Singida, and he started his studies in June 2021. Geoff and Robina continued sponsoring Elias throughout his two years of A’ Level studies.

Elias achieved outstanding results in his A’ Level examinations (Division One, Point Nine), and was offered a place on a Medical Laboratory degree course in Dodoma. However, he did not take up this offer and managed to enrol on a five year Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery course at Kampala International University, Dar Es Salaam. He started this course in October 2024, and Geoff and Robina are continuing to sponsor him throughout this course.
