Naomi Wilson
Naomi attended Kisongo Primary School.
Naomi’s father passed away in 2012. Her mother brings up four children on her own, and Naomi is the youngest. Her mother’s only source of income is by selling milk on the streets. In her national primary school examinations Naomi had an average grade of B.
Naomi started her secondary education at Einoti Secondary School in January 2017, and in her third year there she was positioned first in her year group. She was sponsored by Sharon Dixon, whose children were pupils at Acklam Grange School.
Naomi was selected to study A’ Levels in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, at Tarakea High School, Kilimanjaro, and she started her studies in June 2021. She is being sponsored throughout her two years of A’ Level studies by Josh McGeary, a student at Yarm School, Stockton on Tees. Josh was due to visit Tanzania as part of a Yarm School Trip in July 2020, but the trip was cancelled due to Coronavirus travel restrictions – so Josh decided that he would raise money for The Meserani Project instead.
