Regina Nyangusi
Regina attended Losingira Primary School. She is the third born of five. Her parents are HIV victims, they keep cattle, but they have no form of income. Her favourite subject is Science, and she would like to be nurse one day.
Regina started her secondary education at Kipok Girls’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2019. She is being sponsored by Megan Loughran, an 18 year old student who “was amazed by the work of the Meserani Project when I went on a trip with them in 2018 and felt afterwards that I couldn’t sit back and not doing anything to help these beautiful people.”
Following success in her final secondary school examinations, Regina was selected to study A’ Levels in Chemistry, Biology and Geography, at Floriane High School, Karatu. Former Yarm School Head Boy, Josh McGeary, offered to sponsor Regina through her A’ Levels, and she started her studies in August 2023.
In her examinations at the end of her first year of A’ Level studies she achieved a Division One – the highest grade – a wonderful achievement.
