True and genuine legends are indeed a rarity, and the passing of a legend is without doubt a tragedy for us all. It was with incredible sadness therefore, that we heard yesterday of the passing of BJ – the co-founder and owner of Meserani Snakepark in Tanzania.

BJ was instrumental in helping to set up The Meserani Project way back in 2004, and since then has provided constant help, advice and support for us all.

Our love and thoughts go out to his wife – known affectionately to us all as Ma – to his two sons Wade and Len, to his five grandchildren, and to his great friend Deon.
