Tumzo Lowassa

The mother cuts grass for a living. Her mother does not live with her, she is ill. Her stepfather treats her badly. When she was at school one day her father came to take her to get married, but the teachers refused to allow her to go. She lives with her brothers and sisters at home, and she cooks all the meals. She was 32^nd. in her class.

 Tumzo started Kipok Girls’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2012. She is being sponsored by Kath Collinson, whose three children, Mitchell, Lauren and Bradley, went to Acklam Grange School.
