Up until now the girls at Kipok School currently have had to sleep two to a bed due to a shortage of beds in their dormitories.
The school began building a new dormitory at the start of this year in order to begin reducing the overcrowding, but a shortage of funds meant that building had to stop in June.
The Stockton on Tees branch of Soroptimists International have stepped in, and have funded the completion of the building, and in August this year, the external walls had been completed, and the roof was well on its way.
We have just heard that the building of the dormitory has been completed, and we look forward to posting pictures of it during our next visit there in January next year,
Thank you so much to the ladies from Stockton on Tees Soroptimists International – your kindness and generosity will be making a huge difference to the lives of the girls at Kipok School.
