Lucy Loini

Lucy attended Lesiraa Primary School.

Lucy’s mother got pregnant to a fellow pupil in her final year at primary school. The families forced them to live together, but Lucy’s father went off and joined the army, and married someone else. Lucy’s mother went back to live with her parents, but her father died of throat cancer, and once Lucy completed primary school there was no money available to send her to secondary school. Lucy was born on 25 December 2000.

Lucy started Kipok Girls’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2016. She is being sponsored by Lynda Chadwick. Lynda is a grandmother of five children and a mother of two, she used to be a nurse in schools and in women’s clinics, and she “is delighted to be Lucy’s sponsor.”
