Amidst all the problems and worries being experienced by the people of Tanzania, one of our sponsored students, Lomayani, sent this message to all supporters of The Meserani Project:

“I’m here to bring our sincere greetings to you and all our sponsors during this hard moment of trying to fight against this viral disease, we are all praying for our sponsors and donors for to forsake them and protect, give them good health, hope and soon recovering to those who are infected if they are there. Back in Tanzania the situation is not yet bad as we have 46 reported cases, 3 deaths and 5 recovered. Schools are still closed and all students from primary to universities are at home, local business are still going on though not active the way it used to be. The local Maasai market at Meserani is closed and few people are found outside the streets.”

Lomayani is one of the two founder members of the ‘Meserani Osotwa’ group – a voluntary group of our older sponsored students who set themselves up as a support group for our younger sponsored pupils. Isn’t it wonderful that despite the deep concerns that they must have about the future, they take time to consider the difficulties being faced by us here in the U.K.
