John Lowassa

John attended Losingira Primary School. He is the first born of six children, and has two sisters and three brothers. His father has no emplyment, and his mother sells grass to survive.

John started his secondary education at Irkisale Secondary Boarding School, Lolkisale, in January 2023. He is being sponsored by Alison Morris, who met John in January 2023 whilst part of a group of employees of Virgin Media/O2 supporting the work of The Meserani Project. Alison says, “As a Mum of two children, being in Tanzania made me realise how lucky we all are to have what we have, pretty much all of the time. For me to be able to sponsor John and see him through the next four years of his school life was one of the easiest decisions I have ever made.  I am very proud to be his sponsor and I can’t wait to hear from him and find out how he is doing.”
