John Matunda
His father has two wives and eight children. John is the seventh born. Both his parents work. One of his sisters is at Einoti School, and is paid for by an older brother, but he can not afford to pay for all the children. He likes the Brazil football team. He was placed second in his examinations at Kisongo Primary School in early 2014. He would like to be a teacher one day.
John started his secondary education at Moita Boys’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2015. He is being sponsored by Clive and Margaret Morton.
John achieved a Division Two result in his final examinations, and was selected to study A’ Levels in Chemistry, Biology and Geography at Miono School, Chalinze. He started his course in July 2019. Clive & Margaret Morton are continuing to sponsor John through his two years of A’ Level studies.
John achieved a Division II Point 10 result in his A’ Level examinations, and was selected to study a degree course in Accountancy at the University of Dar Es Salaam, starting in October 2021. However, due to his father’s illness, John took a year out to look after him, and after his father passed away in 2022 John started a Diploma course in Forestry Management and Nature Conservation in October 2022. Clive and Margaret are continuing to sponsor John throughout his diploma course.
