Justin Kivoy Silamoi
He lived with both parents. There are seven children in the family (four girls and three boys). The mother doesn’t work, and the father does his best to support the family, but they are very poor.
Justin started Moita Boys’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2014, and was placed 5th. out of 109 pupils in his year group in his first school examinations. In the National Form Two Examinations 2015 he gained a Distinction (the highest level of pass). He was sponsored throughout his secondary education by Nick Whaley, a former employee of Barclays Bank, Stockton on Tees.
Justin sat his national secondary examinations in November 2017, and performed extremely well gaining a Division Two – in fact his results were the best of all sixteen Meserani Project students selected for A’ Level studies this year. He was selected to study A’ Levels in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Musoma Boys’ School, and was due to start his course in July 2018. Nick Whaley had kindly offered to sponsor Justin through his two years of A’ Level studies.
Tragically, just days after learning of his A’ Level selection, Justin passed away suddenly from a throat infection. His funeral took place on Sunday 1 July 2018.
