Kelvin Mungaya Mollel
Kelvin’s father has three wives, and he does not provide for his children. Kelvin’s mother sells charcoal to provide the basics for her children, but she cannot afford to send them to school. Kelvin wants to be a road engineer.
Kelvin started Moita Boys’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2014. In the National Form Two Examinations 2015 he gained a Distinction (the highest level of pass). He is being sponsored by a resident from Stockton on Tees whose niece is a teacher at Acklam Grange School.
Kelvin sat his national secondary examinations in November 2017, and performed extremely well. As a result he was selected to study A’ Levels in History, Geography & Kiswahili at Makoga High School, Njombe, and he started his course in July 2018. Kelvin is being sponsored through his two years of A’ Level studies by Teresa Lunn, whose daughter is a member of staff at Acklam Grange School.
Kelvin got a Division 1.9 in his final A’ Level examination results, and in September 2020 The Meserani Project paid for his application to university. We wish him the best of luck with his application – we expect to find out in October/November if he was successful.
In November 2020 Kelvin was selected to study a BA degree course in History & Political Science at Dar University. He is being sponsored throughout his three years at university by Frank Wilkinson Flooring Ltd., Middlesbrough.
