Lomnyaki Saitabau

At Moita Secondary School - August 2014

Lomnyaki managed to attend Moita School up until his final year, when his sponsors had to step in to pay his fees. His parents are very old – his father is 82. He was positioned first in his year group in Form Three, gaining a Division One Pass.

In his Mock Final Examinations in 2014 he gained a Division Two pass – and in his final examinations he achieved the necessary marks to go on study A’ Levels.

Lomnyaki started his A’ Level studies at Kahororo Secondary School in July 2015. He studies Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Lomnyaki was sponsored throughout his A’ Level studies by Middlesbrough Erimus Rotary Club.

In October 2017 Lomnyaki was selected by the government to study a B Ed degree in Science at Mwenge Catholic University, Moshi. His joint sponsors for his three years at university are Cathy & Richie Millar (whose sons are former Acklam Grange School pupils), and Middlesbrough Erimus Rotary Club.

Lomnyaki graduated in December 2020, and was awarded an upper second class degree. In March 2021 he was appointed as a teacher at Elite Secondary School, Kisongo.
