Nakaji Elihuruma

Nakaji’s father passed away in 2008. Her mother makes charcoal and sells it for the family to survive. There are eight children in the family, she is the sixth. She wants to be an accountant.

Nakaji started Einoti Secondary School in January 2013. She is being sponsored by Dot & Colin Gale, whose two daughters and five grandchildren are either former or current pupils at Acklam Grange School. Dot is a retired auxiliary nurse and ward clerk at a local hospital, and Colin is a retired secondary school teacher, where he taught Science and was a Head of Year.

Nakaji  was selected to study A’ Levels in History, Kiswahili and Literature at Mkugwa School, Kigoma, and started her course in July 2017. She was sponsored through her two years of A’ Level studies by Dominic House, a Virgin Media employee who visited Meserani as part of a Virgin Media group in 2017.

Nakaji performed particularly well in her A’ Level examinations, and was selected to study a BA Degree at Mwenge University, Moshi, starting in October 2019. She is being sponsored through her three year university degree course by Dominic.
