Baraka Lotumieki
He was living with his brother who was killed in a motorbike accident. He now lives with his grandmother who sells illicit alcohol to survive. The family relies on local help. He was 20th. in his primary school examinations.
Baraka started Moita Boys’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2012. In 2013 he passed his National Form Two Examinations, and was able to proceed to his final two years of secondary education. He was sponsored throughout his secondary education by Paul Hornby from Middlesbrough Erimus Rotary Club.
In September 2016 Baraka was selected to study a three-year Diploma Course in Horticulture at Borigaram Agriculture Technical College in Dar Es Salaam. He is being sponsored throughout these three years by 91 year old Hilda Renton from Eaglescliffe, Stockton.
