Saiguran Meesani

His father has two wives and seven children, and he keeps animals. His mother has no job. He enjoys long distance running. His favourite subjects are Science, Geography and Mathematics. He was placed tenth in his examinations at Meserani Chini Primary School in early 2014. He would like to be a pilot one day.

Saiguran started his secondary education at Moita Boys’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2015. He is being sponsored by Catherine and John Cameron, who have both worked in primary schools and, “feel privileged to be able to support someone else through their own education.” They have two daughters, and live in Nottingham.

Saiguran achieved a Division Three result in his final examinations, and was selected to study A’ Levels in History, Kiswahili and Geography at Kasoma School, Mara. He started his course in July 2019. Catherine and John Cameron are continuing to sponsor Saiguran through his two years of A’ Level studies.

Saiguran achieved a Division II Point 12 result in his A’ Level examinations, and was selected to study a BA in Geography & Environmental Studies at Mwenge Catholic University, starting in October 2021. Catherine and John are continuing to sponsor Saiguran throughout his three year degree course.
