Pupils and students from all schools, colleges and universities in Tanzania were sent home on 17 March as an initial response to the Coronavirus situation. The government announced last week that second year A’ Level students, college students and all university students should return on 1 June – today. The situation regarding secondary schools and primary schools remains unclear.
This has caused a number of problems for The Meserani Project, but fortunately we were able to ensure that all 41 students who needed to return today managed to receive the necessary transport money from our emergency funds. Thank you to the staff at Meserani Snakepark for your help with the logistics.
