Dafroza Herman

Dafroza attended Kisongo Primary School.

Her family live 800 Km. away from Meserani, and are extremely poor. Dafroza has been working as a maid for a man who is interested in her education and brought her to school.  He will not be able to pay for her secondary education. They live in Arusha, about a fifteen-minute walk from Kisongo School. She started her education late because she has had to work. She would like to be a doctor one day. She was positioned second in her primary school examinations in 2015.

Dafroza started her secondary education at Kipok Girls’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2016. She is being sponsored by John Bate, former Head Teacher at Acklam Grange School, and his wife Joan.
