Jeremia Mosses Baraka

Jeremia attended Lesiraa Primary School.

His father has two wives, and his mother has four children – Jeremia is the youngest – none of them have been able to go to secondary school. The parents would like their children to be educated, but cannot afford it – they have no livestock and cut grass and crush stones for food. Jeremia’s favourite subject is Science, and he would like to be a teacher one day. He was placed sixth in his primary school examinations in 2015.

Jeremia started his secondary education at Moita Boys’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2016. He was sponsored by the Physical Education staff at Sheffield Park Academy.

Jeremia achieved a Division Two result in his final examinations, and was selected to study A’ Levels in Chemistry, Biology and Geography at Kikaro School. He is being sponsored throughout his two years of A’ Level studies by David Harris, whose son Dave met Jeremia during the Virgin Media Trip 2020.
