Now that the group from Virgin Media have returned to the U.K., we have been tying up a number of loose ends before we fly home ourselves tomorrow night.
This morning we visited the Njiro base of Arusha Vocational Training Centre, and gave them the 10 laptops and 2 projectors from Virgin Media, plus three laptops from Acklam Grange School for the Oljiro base.
We met with some trainee teachers, and also watched a lecture being given to a group who are taking the driving course.
Our supplier at Meserani – Isra – has bought himself some transport at last, and it was used to deliver the metal trunks for our 12 new A’ Level students.
We spent a whole day sorting out the equipment for the twelve students who we are hoping will be starting their A’ Level studies next month.
This afternoon we had a further meeting with the Principal of the VETA Hotel & Tourism Training Institute, to discuss the enrolment of some of our students, as well as continuing our research into what is involved as regards University applications.
A meeting with Hapiness Nyane, Head Teacher at Irkisongo School, was also an excellent chance to discuss Higher Education opportunities, and she was most helpful in this respect.
