Loini Labarani Melembuki
Loini attended Meserani Chini Primary School.
His father has three wives, his mother is the second wife and has six children – Loini is the first born. His father only has two cows, so there is no income to pay for Loini to go to secondary school. Nobody in his family has gone to secondary school, but Loini would definitely like to go. He likes English, Mathematics and Science, and would like to be the president of Tanzania one day, or hold some other government position. He was placed second in his primary school examinations in 2015.
Loini started his secondary education at Moita Boys’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2016. He was sponsored by Chris Larkin and Margaret Cowden. Chris is a retired public health worker, and Margaret is a retired minister. They live in a small village on Long Island, New York, U.S.A.
Loini achieved a Division Two result in his final examinations, and was selected to study A’ Levels in English, Geography and Mathematics at Kahororo High School. He started his course in July 2020. He is being sponsored through his two years of A’ Level studies by Rick Brownhill from Virgin Media.
