Mohamedi Selemani

Mohamedi attended Meserani Juu Primary School.

His father died in a road accident. He lives with his mother in a small rented room with no electricity or water. The rent is 35,000 TSh (£15) a month, so his mother earns money by travelling around and trying to sell small items. Mohamedi likes Mathematics, Science and Sociology, and would like to be a sports teacher one day. He was placed third in his primary school examinations in 2015.

Mohamedi started his secondary education at Moita Boys’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2016. He is being sponsored by Maria Gardner, Head of Mathematics at Acklam Grange School.
