Nembris Lekumok

Nembris was a pupil at Moita Kilorit Primary School. There are five children in the family, and she is the second born. Her mother has no work, and her father used to be a night watchman at Kipok Girls’ Secondary Boarding School. However, he was involved in a motor bike accident in 2014, and despite trying to get treated at various local hospitals, he was left crippled, and not able to work. Nembris performed well in the national examinations for primary school pupils in November 2014, but with her father not being able to work now, she was faced with not being able to go to secondary school.

Her sponsor Sarah Naylor stepped in, and Nembris started her secondary education at Kipok Girls’ Boarding School in January 2015. Sarah is a former deputy head girl at Acklam Grange School, and is now a Physical Education teacher at a secondary school in Sheffield.
