The building work on the new Meserani Secondary School has finally started!

This project began way back in 2017, and there have been so many obstacles and ‘false starts’ since then, but finally we have the best news possible. The 25 acre site has been established, work has begun on the perimeter fence, planting of drought-resistant trees has started, and building work on the first eight classrooms and the three science laboratories has started.

The current plan is for eight classrooms, three science laboratories, one ICT room, an administration block, a library and twenty individual toilets. However, The Meserani Project is committed to ensuring that the school can become a boarding school, thus providing a safe environment for the pupils, allowing study time on evenings and weekends, and providing daily food for the pupils. This will involve providing dormitories, a dining hall and kitchen facilities.

Full details are on our website page here.

The first of a series of videos tracking the building work is on our YouTube channel – see it here.
