Race Night! Posted June 10, 2016 by admin

Our supporters will be aware that Diane organises an annual event for The Meserani Project (her Jewellery and Handicraft Sale), which brings in more than £3,000 each year for the charity. As a result I decided to organise an annual event myself, and am looking for as many people as possible to support me in my next attempt following last year’s huge success.

I am organising a Race Night on Friday 8 July, and details are given below.

It starts at 7.00 p.m., and is in the Main Hall at Acklam Grange School, Middlesbrough.

Entry is £4 for adults and £3 for under-16s.

Bring your own drinks/snacks for the night.

Please enter the school via the Acorn Centre on Heythrop Drive.

Please, please do your very best to come along, – we need lots and lots of people to be there on the night to make it a big success – get on to your friends, relatives, workmates, neighbours – anyone at all who you can persuade to come along. Race Nights are always huge fun, and it will be a great night for everyone.

All I need are the names of who is coming, so that I can include them in the programme – please send me these names as soon as possible.

We need sponsors for each of the eight races – if you know of any commercial organisations or individuals who would wish to sponsor a race (£50) – they will get an advert in the programme, and free entry to the event. Please make a huge effort in this respect, as this will add a lot to the total amount raised on the night.

Don’t forget that all proceeds on the night are going to The Meserani Project, a registered charity that educates young people in Tanzania who would not have been educated without our support.

Thanks.,

Peter Swan
