Shemeji Memirieki

Shemeji Memirieki Korduni-AShemeji attended Meserani Chini Primary School.

Shemeji was placed sixth in his final year at primary school. His father passed away in March 2016 through stomach cancer, and Shemeji lives with his mother who has nine children to bring up. His father had four wives and seventy-two children in total. His mother only has three cows, and needs more so that she can sell their milk. All of Shemeji’s sisters have been married off now. Shemeji wants to be able to study so that “he can change the life of his mother”. His favourite subjects are Science, History and Social Studies, and he would like to be a dentist one day.

Shemeji started his secondary education at Moita Boys’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2017. He is being sponsored by Mark Caisley, whose children were pupils at Acklam Grange School.

Shemeji was selected to study a three-year Diploma Course in Animal Health and Production, at Dodoma, and he started his studies in June 2021. He is being sponsored throughout his Diploma Course by Mark Caisley, from Ceatta Ltd., whose children went to Acklam Grange School.
