Simon Willson

Simon attended Lesiraa Primary School.

He lives with his mother in a small hut – his father has run away. They have no livestock. His mother has to bring up four children, and cuts grass to make money. He has an older brother who is in his final year at Einoti Secondary School, and it takes him an hour to walk to school. Simon loves Science, and would like to be a teacher one day. He was placed fourth in his primary school examinations in 2015.

Simon started his secondary education at Moita Boys’ Secondary Boarding School in January 2016. He was sponsored by Tracey Scard.

Simon achieved a Division One result in his final examinations, and was selected to study A’ Levels in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at Mnyambe School. He started his course in July 2020. He is being sponsored through his two years of A’ Level studies by Karen and Mike Davison.

In November 2022 Simon started a five year BSc course in Medicine & Surgery at Kampala International University, Dar es Salaam. and once again Karen & Mike are sponsoring Simon through this course.
