Kevin Robinson spent some time at Meserani Chini School in August working with Ibrahim Kileo on providing a water harvesting system to four teachers’ homes. Kevin and his wife Carol live in Ravensworth, North Yorkshire. Ibrahim is the brother of Sariade, who was on our selection committee at Meserani before she tragically lost her life giving birth to her third child in 2014. Before her death Sariade had supported Ibrahim on a training course to become a builder, and Kevin was so taken with Ibrahim’s enthusiasm and potential, that he and his wife Carol have now taken steps to help Ibrahim in his efforts to promote his career as a builder.

Kevin and Carol have paid for Ibrahim to attend a full-time course in speaking English, starting in January, and they have also bought Ibrahim a cordless drill and hammer drill set, with tools and drill bits.

A truly heart-warming story.
